County of Lambton Housing Services (Rent-Geared-to-Income / Social Housing)
The County of Lambton runs the housing-help office for Sarnia and all of Lambton County. It manages subsidized housing where your rent is based on your income (called rent-geared-to-income, or RGI), plus non-profit, co-op and rent supplement units. You fill out one application to get on the waiting list for all of it. The County owns 830 housing units and also subsidizes some privately owned units.
