Tenant pays 30% of adjusted household income; the program funds the difference between the tenant's contribution and the unit's market-value rent. Income ceilings: single person/couple (1-bedroom) $45,000 urban / $50,500 rural; + 1 other (2-bedroom) $57,500 urban / $59,500 rural; + 2 or more others (3-bedroom) $63,000 urban / $67,500 rural.

New Brunswick residents with income below the program's ceilings who also face a housing challenge: living in crowded or inadequate conditions, or paying a large portion of their income toward rent. Selection is based on demonstrated need; some income-limit exceptions may apply.
