Housing Access Centre - Rent-Geared-to-Income / Community Housing (London & Middlesex)
The Housing Access Centre is the City of London's one place to apply for subsidized rent-geared-to-income (RGI) and community housing in both London and Middlesex County. A staff member reviews your application, explains your options, and puts your name on the waiting lists of the housing providers you pick (public, non-profit, and co-op housing).

- ODSP, Ontario Works, CPP, OAS, or other benefit statement if you have one
- Recent bank statement, if the program asks for it

“Hi, I found your housing support program and I want to check if I can apply. Can you tell me the current rules, documents needed, and the next step?”
If no one answers, leave your name and number slowly, then try 211 while you wait.

More details about the money
With RGI, you generally pay rent based on about 30% of your household's gross monthly income, and the subsidy covers the rest. Wait times are long (often several years).

The full eligibility rules
Households with low to moderate income. You must be 16 or older and able to live on your own; everyone in the household must be a Canadian citizen, landed immigrant, or refugee claimant; no one may owe money for rent or damage to any Ontario community housing unit; and your household income must be below the limit for the community.
