Rent Assistance Benefit (RAB)
This program gives you money each month to help pay rent if you have a lower income and rent your own place in Alberta. The money is paid right to you. How much you get depends on your income and local rents. You can keep renewing it each year as long as you still qualify.

Can I get this?
You have a good chance if this sounds like you:
- You qualify if your household income is below the local limit
- You must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or landed immigrant whose sponsorship has broken down
- Ukrainian evacuees with emergency travel approval can also apply
- People in more urgent need are helped first

Amounts and eligibility change. Confirm the current figure with the program administrator through the official link before you rely on it.
The full eligibility rules
